First an apology to whoever reads my reviews of the episodes, I've been busy as of late and have been unable to do them. I will try and come back to them at a later date, but I will most likely at least do the last three episodes of season one.
Now, for what this is about. Recently I bought season one part one of FlashForward on DVD. Rewatching the series has uncovered some foreshadowing and hints that were given that wouldn't make sense to someone starting the series from the beginning and watching for the first time.
In "White to Play" when Mark, Demetri and Sheriff Keegan go into the room D. Gibbons is in, after his only line of dialogue and subsequent escape, he pulls a cord that sets off the grenades by pulling down the lights.
Going through this episode, for a second, you can see his face for the first time in the entire series. At 32:49 in "White to Play" you can see Frost's face.
It's there for a marginal amount of time, not something you'd see if you're watching it non-stop and without the ability to pause it.
I'm going to be rewatching the series completely and mark down any foreshadows I see and do a blog post about them sometime (probably).
One I noticed already was about Fiona's Flashforward. In her and Al's Flashforwards, they see a bird break its neck on the window. Al suggests that she tape the windows, to which she replies "The bird will probably just fly into another window then". This can be compared to Celia in a way. Not only was Celia's death stopped (supposedly) by Al's death, just as the bird may live with the tape now on the window, but the quote "the bird will probably just fly into another window then" could be compared to Celia still getting hit and having her future take place, just as that bird would have its own. Course correction can also be put into this, so even though it doesn't fly into the right window, it'll still fly into one, fulfilling prophecy.
