It's that time of the year again when big wigs over at the broadcast networks decide the fate of some of your favorite television shows.
According to EW.com, the networks are in the process of deciding whether they should save or kill a TV show that is "on the bubble," meaning the ones that have yet to be renewed for the 2010-2011 TV season.
"FlashForward," "Better Off Ted," "Scrubs" and Alyssa Milano's short-lived comedy "Romantically Challenged" are among the ABC shows that have officially been cancelled. On a good note, the sci-fi alien series "V" will be coming back for a 13-episode second season.
CBS has yet to announce their full line-up, however "How I Met Your Mother," "The Big Bang Theory," "The Good Wife," NCIS: Los Angeles" and "Two and a Half Men" have already been saved.
The folks over at FOX kept "Bones," "Fringe," "Lie to Me" and "Glee." Animated sitcoms "American Dad," "The Cleveland Show," "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" were also renewed for another season.
Younger viewers can breathe a sigh of relief to know that The CW has saved "Gossip Girl," "90210," "Smallville," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."
However, the controversy lies within the fate of NBC's "Law & Order."
Though the peacock network won't announce their official schedule until Sunday, E! Online reports that the cast and crew of "Law & Order" were informed Thursday that the drama has been cancelled.
If Dick Wolf's long-running series ends up getting saved, its next season would be its 21st, making it the longest-running TV drama series in history.
